Visiting our garden centre? Be sure to stop by the much loved Hilltop Garden Centre café and grab a delicious meal, snack or sweet. With a wide variety on offer, you can be sure we’ll have something for everyone to enjoy. We do not take bookings as our spacious dining area has plenty of seating.
Breakfast
Start your day with a hearty and delicious breakfast at Hilltop. Our menu offers a variety of options to satisfy every craving, from the classic Full English Breakfast to the comforting Breakfast Batch and the timeless Egg on Toast.
Our breakfast menu is available until 11:15 AM, so come and enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal before starting your day. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Hilltop is the perfect place to enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere while savouring the flavours of a truly delicious breakfast.
Lunch
Our tasty lunch menu offers delicious hot meals, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and paninis. All meals come with chips or a choice of veg or jacket potato. The lunch menu starts at 12:00 PM.
Alongside our lunch menu, we also serve delicious specials. Our specials change daily, so check with staff to find out the special of the day.
Bringing the kids along? They can also enjoy a tasty meal in our cafe. Whether they prefer a hot meal or a lunch box, the kids can enjoy a delicious meal, too. The kids’ lunch box includes any three items from the fridge and a batch of either ham or jam.
On a hot sunny day, we have an outdoor field area where there is uncovered bench seating, where customers are welcome to take any cafe trays to eat and drink outdoors. Our outdoor bench seating is located next to our children’s play area, which is free to use for our customers.
Dessert
Fancy indulging yourself? We have an extensive selection of fresh hand-cut cakes. Choose from delicious lemon cheesecake, chocolate, lemon meringue, Victoria sponge, or rainbow cake. Our cake options change each week, so be sure to ask our café team which options we have available.
Are you allergic to gluten? Not to worry! We have a selection of gluten-free cakes for you to enjoy.
Some of our gluten-free cakes include carrot cake, red velvet, apple pie, banoffee, and mint chocolate chip. Speak to a member of staff when ordering for more info.
Drinks & Snacks
Our cafe also serves hot drinks and snacks for a quick bite. Enjoy afternoon tea with a range of hot drinks, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and fruit tea. We also serve decaf tea and coffee.
For a quick bite to eat, our cafe also serves a variety of pastries. Choose from sausage rolls, Cornish pasty, Pizza slices, chicken & mushroom pie, and samosa. Prices for pastry items vary.

Open 7 days a week! Our café opening times are:
- Mon-Sat: 9 am to 4:30 pm
- Sun: 10 am to 4 pm
PLEASE BE ADVISED: During the seasonal winter period the café opening and closing hours may change. We also reserve the right to close the café during quiet periods. We do allow dogs, and have an allocated dining area for dog owners.
